Square Basket (Ifugao)

High basket with lid for glutinous rice, made of rattan, with a bamboo stand ring, from which four bamboo poles 36cm are pulled up vertically and give the wickerwork support. From the stand ring up to a height of 34cm, the basket is made in two-way weave, diagonally edged and twill. The upper 10cm of the basket and its lid (H .: 3cm, D .: 16cm) are made of wrapped spiral mesh. The lid is attached to the basket by means of two hinges, to be closed with a hook and eye, all made of wrapped rattan. The basket is carried on a multi-strand braid, which is attached to the basket with two eyes and hooks, also made of rattan.
