Round Basket (Ifugao)

Bulbous basket for uncooked rice. made of dark brown rattan on a braided stand ring (h .: 2.5 cm; d. inside: 11 cm; outside of the foot: 15 cm). Basket and lid made of wrapped spiral mesh. The multi-strand braided carrying cord is pulled with its two end eyelets through two eyelets on the upper edge of the basket. Lid is attached with a thin string that goes from the center of its top to an eyelet on the basket. A seven-pointed wooden disc (D .: 3.5cm) covers the center of the lid and thus hides the attachment point of the cord. Opening of the basket: D .: 10cm. Height of the lid: 3.5cm; D. Lid: 12cm.
