Basket (Uppigan di unga)

Basket for boys and girls. Round oval basket with lid in shades of yellow to brown, worked in a wrapped spiral mesh. Lid covers a quarter of the basket. Multi-strand braided carrying cord, also made from rattan, is tied with its loop ends to two opposite eyelets directly above the basket bottom on the basket wall and runs through one eyelet on the upper rim of the basket and one on the upper lid wall.
