Man's Saroar, Trousers

Brown, maroon and cream stripes - some plain a few ikated and some patterned. For sketch + Saroar types and "tutuc" and "panay" decorated band descriptions.

Field Notes: "Man's trousers of hemp; the hemp is regularly tied in patterns and dyed in the standard Bagobo colors, red, black and orange, the hemp under the tie portions its creamy color. The patterns run up and down, giving a striped effect. The variety of form and arrangment of similar designs is infinite, so that a duplicate saroar textile is rarely seen."
