Axe used for executions by decapitation. Blade with a smooth and almost square surface, curved spine. It had on its upper part a long spur with a concave edge. The blade is attached to the hilt by a spike, this has a large iron band at the bottom that is slightly thicker at the ends than in the center. The handle is made of hard wood ringed with brass bands and has a curved projection in the central part that serves as a support for the hand.

Hacha para cortar cabezas. Hoja de superficie lisa y casi cuadrada, lomo curvo. Tenía en su parte superior un largo espolón con filo cóncavo. La hoja se une a la empuñadura por una espiga, esta tiene en su parte inferior un gran zuncho de hierro ligéramente más grueso en los extremos que en el centro. El mango es de madera dura anillado con bandas de latón y tiene en la parte central un saliente curvo que sirve de apoyo a la mano.
