Headcloth (Tangkolo)

Name: Tangkolo:- A dark red cloth with white patterns in it. Used to make the headdress worn by a Magani (See note in 128788) The designs are produced as described under 128786. Notes: cloth of this type is sometimes worn in jackets by skillful weavers who are under the special patronage of powerful spirits.; Field Museum Catalogue Number: 128787
