Sword (Kampilan)

Long steel blade, the cutting edge extending into a point; the back widens about 11 cm. from the point, this forward section being composed of two curves with barb between. Elaborately carved wooden grip partly bound with basketry and fibre braids; wooden guard with looped metal band on one side.
