Baton (uncertain)

Long, narrow, flat, slightly bowed piece of heavy brown wood. Rounded handle (?) at one end, rounded tab at other. Three broad bands of sheet metal: one (14.3 cm.) at center, secured with solder and 18 flat-headed nails; other two narrower (5 cm.), secured with solder only (broken on one).
