Curators comments:
This is one of nine impressions of illustrations to Forrest that were never registered on acquisition. It is highly likely that they all came from the same purchase at the sale of George Smnith in 1868 from which the rest of the plates relating to the voyages of Captain Cook derive. See 1868,1212.299 to 397.
