Knife sheath (with girdle or belt) made of wood, wire (brass), shell (conus), rattan, cotton. 1850s-1910
Curators comments:
Register says: "Knife in scabbard with shell girdle, called "bloc" or "itak". Such knives alwasy carried, & used for work & fighting. Shell belts rare, & usually heirlomes. Kiangan. (see P.K.E.M.D. pl XVI.)"; From acquisition notes "Igorrot".; Register says: "This whole collection from the "Igorrot". N. Luzon."
