Spear (Panilipo)

Inventory number 042541
Metal-tipped spear with a barb and shaped like a fish's tail. The larger spear head was attached to the wooden shaft. A rattan ring wicker was used to reinforce the shaft where the round tongue is secured. The lower part was burned by incendiary bombs that hit the Linden Museum during World War II. Possibly a falfeg from Bontoc. Text: Prof. Dr. Leah E. Abayao, Cordillera Studies Center, UP Baguio.
