Textile (Ifugao)

Woven from spun bast threads. Made from three identical panels (45cm wide) made from a mixture of cotton and vegetable fibers, the long sides of which are sewn together. Fabric in chain-rib weave, with wide dark brown, reddish-brown and natural-colored stripes through double warp threads. Entry alternates between dark brown and white at the lower web ends, and triangular patterns in dark and reddish brown using the decorative weft technique are incorporated into the white surfaces.
