Spoon - Sitting Figure

Some spoons were esteemed like ancestor figures. This specimen has a similar shape as the anito-figure (see here.) Both figures are hunkering and have their hands raised to cover the ears. According to Eric Anderson (personal communication, 2009), this particular spoon is from Kambulo or Batad. (Sri Kuhnt-Saptodewo 2009: 59)
