Violin

Large bamboo tube with two "strings" : strips of bamboo skin peeled off and raised above square sound hole by two sticks (bridges). Holes both ends with remnants of suspension cords. "Violin Bamboo Band." W.C. W.P.W.<br />Exhibited at the Louisiana Purchase Exhibition, St. Louis 1904.
