Weapon with the blade straight at the bottom 6 mm thick back and slightly curved, towards the tip widened edge, next to the bracket 30 mm. On one side stamped decoration in the form of a leaf vine, on the other a flower vine, partly inlaid with brass. The blade is covered with brass at the bracket. A misprovenanced officer's or nobleman's dagger from the island of Luzon, Northern Philippines. The hilt is unusual, perhaps influenced by the hilts of the barong sword from the Southern Philippines. Characteristic floral and leaf design elements on both the blade, the hilt and the finely worked buffalo horn sheath.
