Register 1944: Composite implement; heavy steel blade with wooden handle; sharp at the end.
Exhibited:1996-97, London, Museum of Mankind, 'Stairways to the Sky: Rice and Life in the Philippines'
Conservation: Rust removed with various abrasive powders and papers lubricated with 3 in 1 oil (hydrocarbon mixture). Cleaned manually using a scalpel. Final polish with Solvol Autosol (diatomaceous earth, methylated soap, white spirit)rubbed clean with an inert paper towel.
