Green glazed bowl with shallow decoration.

[Conservation] Surface dry cleaned using soft brush. Dark brown reside removed mechanically using tip of scalpel blade under magnification. Crack cleaned using solution of Ariel and deionised water (Ariel automatic (anionic and non ionic synthetic surfactants,sodium tripolyphosphate), cotton swabs soaked insolution were placed the running crack, covered with cling film and left overnight. Swabs were removed and the crack was steam cleaned. Staining significantly reduced. Crack was consolidated using 10% w/w solution of Paraloid B72 (ethyl methacrylate copolymer) in acetone/IMS 70:30, applied with a synthetic brush and micropipette. Excess consolidant removed with acetone applied with sable brush and cotton swab.
[Conservation] Object A: Surface cleaned with a 0.2% solution of Synperonic A7 (non ionic detergent,nonylphenol ethylene oxide condensate) in tap water on cotton wool swabs on a satay stick. Residue removed with tap water on cotton wool swabs.
