Hat (Clothing: Headwear)

Circular wide domed basketry hat with downward-turning brim. Formed of leaves over which is a latticework of dark strips, probably nito. The underside has a wider lattice of the same material and a raised band around the edge of the crown to keep the hat seated on the head. On top of the crown is a six-pointed star shape formed of vegetal fibre sheet, with a basketry finial.
