(From reference card of the Field Museum Catalogue Number: 129496)

Paīs - man's fighting knife and sheath. Similar to 129496 Blade in Moro. Handle and ferrule are said to be native but this is doubtful. Plain wood sheath has 3 bands of rattan strips around it. From South Central Mindanao. Blaan.

Field Museum Catalogue Number: 129499

(Note: all instances of either B'laan, Bilaan or Bila-an in the Mapping Database have been changed to Blaan after specific requests from the Blaan of Sarangani Province June 2022. This would differ from the terminology in the original record, which is considered derogatory by the Blaan.)
