Ivory Sculpture ( fragment)

Left hand severed at the wrist. Well done, the nails, phalanges and muscles have been represented in great detail. The inner face of the hand shows the lines of the hand and a wound colored red, in the same way it appears on the back.

Additional analysis:

It is a colonial ivory, Hispano-Filipino, due to the way the phalanges are worked, with great detail, and the way of representing the fingers, which all come out of the same horizontal line. It could belong to a Saint Francis or a Risen Christ.
