Parasol

Beige silk parasol, entirely embroidered with floral motifs, a royal coat of arms and the Anagram of Isabel II. Silver rods and ivory cuff.

Piece made in Spain, between 1800-1900.

Nineteenth-century clothing also adopted, albeit in a limited way, some orientalizing elements of Chinese origin, and from the seventies, Japanese. Above all, accessories, such as fans and umbrellas, were accepted with greater enthusiasm due to their practical nature, giving the outfit a touch of elegance both due to the richness and variety of its materials.
